MARCH 23: WORKSHOP – MINIATURE CONTAINERS
In this workshop you will select small containers – glass, plastic, vinyl, anything that holds water – which you will cover in washi paper. After you finish your miniature containers, you will select natural materials for each, then compose your containers on a base (glass, plastic, vinyl, acrylic, etc.) We encourage you to start collecting your containers now. They should be 2″ or smaller. Also, locate something on which you will display your finished arrangements.
MARCH 24: WORKSHOP – CONSTRUCTING A BAMBOO SCULPTURE (SMALL GROUP WORKSHOP)
For this workshop, we will divide into small groups. Each group will be supplied with a quantity of assorted bamboo. A sculpture design will be created by the group, which will then construct the sculpture. This workshop may require the use of drills, saws, hammers and other construction implements. If you have a bamboo saw, please bring it to this workshop.
