English voice actress to meet fans, discuss the hit anime series and participate in a special screening and live Q&A September 26 in Plano
PLANO, Texas — September 15, 2026 — Anime fans across North Texas will have a unique opportunity to meet Emi Lo, the English voice actress from the hit anime series The Apothecary Diaries, when she appears as the featured anime guest at the 2026 Otsukimi Japanese Moon Viewing Festival on Saturday, September 26, at Haggard Park in Plano. A highly respected voice actor and voice director, Emi Lo has contributed to numerous popular anime productions and is recognized for a wide range of fan-favorite roles. Festival attendees will have the chance to meet Emi and celebrate Japanese culture during this special community event.

Presented by the Japan-America Society of DFW (JASDFW), the free community festival celebrates Japanese culture through traditional and contemporary experiences—such as acclaimed taiko drummers, Japanese children choir, sumo wrestling demonstrations, traditional dancers, singers and band playing popular anime theme songs, and this year, anime will take center stage with a special evening program featuring Lo.
Beginning at approximately 8:45 p.m., Lo will share her experience bringing her popular character to life, discuss The Apothecary Diaries and give fans a look at what’s ahead. The program will also include a special anime episode screening, a preview of the upcoming season and a live audience Q&A with Lo.
Limited Autograph and Photo Opportunity
Fans will also have the chance to meet Lo personally during the festival. A limited number of guests may purchase an official Emi Lo photo, have it personally autographed and take a photo with Lo.

The anime program is part of a full evening designed to immerse visitors in Japanese culture. Festival experiences will include:
- Spectacular taiko drum performances
- Sumo wrestling demonstrations
- Live music performance featuring many popular Anime theme songs
- Traditional Japanese dance
- Hands-on cultural activities and workshops
- Free children’s games and family activities
- An expanded food pavilion featuring authentic Japanese and Asian cuisine
The Otsukimi Japanese Moon Viewing Festival is JASDFW’s largest public event, attracting an estimated 6,000 attendees in 2025. The annual celebration brings families, anime fans, cultural enthusiasts and the broader North Texas community together to experience both the traditions and contemporary culture of Japan.
