September 9, 2026 – Plano, Texas – Japan-America Society of DFW announces their Otsukimi Festival entertainment lineup.

Japanese drums, sumo wrestling, Okinawan dance, live concerts and anime will fill Haggard Park, Plano, when the Japan-America Society of DFW (JASDFW) hosts its largest Otsukimi Japanese Moon Viewing Festival on Saturday, September 26, from 6:00–10:00 p.m.

The free, family-friendly festival will feature performances, demonstrations, games, and bounce houses at various locations throughout Haggard Park, along with Japanese cultural experiences, art and cultural vendors, family activities and a wide variety of food vendors serving authentic Japanese, Asian and American cuisine in the SpotOn Food Pavillion.

Plano Mayor John B. Muns will be onsite to welcome festival guests.

Admission and parking are free. Guests are encouraged to register in advance for their free tickets to be entered for a chance to win door prizes and receive festival updates.

OTSUKIMI PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE

Guests should check the official event schedule for the location of each performance and demonstration, as activities will take place throughout the festival grounds. Performance times are subject to change.

Special anime guest, English voice actor Emi Lo, the voice behind Maomao will join the evening’s entertainment for an appearance and special screening.

Otsukimi, meaning “moon viewing,” is a centuries-old Japanese autumn tradition celebrating the beauty of the moon, the changing season and community. JASDFW’s annual festival brings that tradition to North Texas through an evening designed for all ages.

Visitors can experience Japanese culture while enjoying performances, demonstrations, family activities, shopping from art and cultural vendors and dinner or snacks from festival food vendors.
