A City of Sendai delegation led by Vice Mayor Akira Fujimoto visited Dallas from May 18 to 21. Delegation members met with Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, toured Toyota’s Plano headquarters and the Dallas Arts District, and attended the Japan-America Society’s 47th Annual Meeting & Members’ Social.
At the Annual Meeting, Vice Mayor Fujimoto presented Executive Director Anna McFarland and Dallas-Sendai Committee Chair Mark Berry with Certificates of Appreciation on behalf of Sendai Mayor Emiko Okuyama. These certificates recognize Ms. McFarland’s and Mr. Berry’s support of the Dallas-Sendai International Friendship Cities relationship, which celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2017.
