Dallas, TX — The Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth (JASDFW) successfully hosted its Business Outlook in 2026: Japan–U.S. Perspectives seminar on February 12, welcoming a full room of business leaders, advisors, and professionals for an evening of timely insight and cross-border discussion.

Held at The Bonadio Group in Dallas, the event brought together senior executives from global financial, real estate, and advisory firms to examine economic conditions, Japanese investment strategies, and policy considerations shaping the year ahead.

The program featured George Goncalves, Managing Director at MUFG (Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group), who delivered a comprehensive outlook on the U.S. economy in 2026, including analysis of the evolving K-shaped economy and interest rate implications. Seiji Ohtomo, Senior Vice President at Taisei Corporation USA, provided insight into Japanese real estate development and overseas investment trends, drawing on nearly two decades of global experience.

The discussion was moderated by Josh Whitworth, Tax Partner at The Bonadio Group, with additional perspectives from Richard Bigham, Assurance Partner, and Jay Jerose, Advisory and Consulting Partner. Together, the panel addressed M&A activity, tariffs, tax planning, and strategic considerations impacting Japanese and American companies operating across borders.

The event reached full capacity, underscoring strong interest from the North Texas business community and reaffirming the value of JASDFW’s Business Seminar Series as a forum for meaningful dialogue, education, and professional connection.

“Programs like this highlight the importance of thoughtful discussion and relationship-building between Japan and the U.S. business communities,” said Lawrence P. Howorth, Chair of the Board of Directors, Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth. “We are proud to provide a platform that delivers both practical insight and lasting connections.”

The seminar is part of JASDFW’s ongoing commitment to strengthening U.S.–Japan relations through business education, cultural exchange, and professional engagement.

Next week on February 20, JASDFW will be hosting another engaging seminar titled, “INNOVATION AND GROWTH: URBANIZATION AND GLOBALIZATION IN THЕ U.S.-JAPAN PARTNERSHIP” with five outstanding speakers.  The event is also available to attend online.  For more details, please visit https://jasdfw.org/event/2026-japan-currents/
