Japanese for the Workplace 1 : Essential Language & Culture (4 sessions)

This workshop introduces essential Japanese language, workplace etiquette, and cultural practices for professionals working at or with Japanese companies. Each topic is introduced in the first session with guided language practice, followed by a second session focused on review, role-play, and Q&A. No prior Japanese language experience is required.

Recommended for:

Professionals working at or with Japanese companies, teams, or clients who have little to no Japanese language background.

• Session 1: Introduction to Japanese Workplace Culture & Communication
  Japanese workplace communication and etiquette, including greetings, keeping colleagues informed, and essential expressions for everyday workplace interactions.
• Session 2: Review, Practice & Role-Play
  Review and reinforce through speaking practice, role-play, and Q&A based on common workplace situations.
• Session 3: Professional Interactions & Business Etiquette
  Essential language and etiquette for professional interactions, including greetings, introductions & bows, exchanging business cards, and simple workplace conversations.
• Session 4: Review, Practice & Role-Play
  Review and reinforce through role-play scenarios involving meeting and interacting with Japanese colleagues or business partners.
