Dallas/Fort Worth, TX — October 9, 2025 — The Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth (JASDFW) is proud to announce the return of the 11th Annual Sun & Star Golf Classic, taking place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This annual tournament brings together Japanese and American executives, business leaders, and community members for a fun and meaningful day of golf, connection, and cultural exchange. Participants will enjoy a scramble-format tournament, a variety of skill contests, and opportunities to network while supporting JASDFW’s mission to promote mutual understanding and lasting friendship between Japanese and American people.
“The Sun & Star Golf Classic has become one of our most anticipated traditions,” said Grant Ogata. “It’s more than just a golf tournament—it’s a day that celebrates partnership, friendship, and shared goals between our two communities.”
Event Schedule

6:30–7:30 a.m. – Registration & Breakfast
7:30 a.m. – Mega Putt Putting Contest
8:00 a.m. – Shotgun Start (Scramble Format)
8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. – Tournament Play
12:00–12:30 p.m. – Return to Clubhouse
12:30–2:00 p.m. – Awards Ceremony & Lunch
3:00 p.m. – Tournament Ends
Tournament Details
Registered players will enjoy:
- Green fees, range balls, and a fully equipped golf cart (with cooler, towels, and tees)
- Course snacks and non-alcoholic beverages
- Tournament breakfast and lunch
- Skill contests including Putting, Closest-to-the-Pin, Longest Drive, and Hole-in-One
