SUMMARY:Senbazuru Dallas ~Part 2: Immersive Multimedia Exhibition & Concert~
DESCRIPTION:Senbazuru Dallas is a free\, community-centered multimedia-music festival presented by Nova Pangea that uses collective art making and immersive performance to promote peace\, healing\, and cross-cultural understanding in Dallas. \nInspired by the Japanese tradition of  Senbazuru—the folding of 1\,000 origami cranes as a symbol of hope and healing—and the legacy of  Sadako Sasaki\, whose wish for world peace has become an international symbol of resilience and nonviolence\, the project responds to the negative growing effects of resentment and social division within our communities. \nThis second event is an  immersive\, time-based multimedia experience combining lighting design\, and live music. Attendees will enter the exhibition space in   small groups of approximately 20 people\, ensuring an intimate and reflective experience lasting  approximately 10 minutes per group. \nUpon entry\, the room will be illuminated with  monochromatic lighting\, rendering participants and their cranes visually grey. By temporarily removing color\, the space symbolizes uncertainty\, emotional wonder\, and loss of identity—conditions often present in communities affected by hostility and aggression. At this stage\, participants will not know the color of their crane\, reinforcing a shared sense of ambiguity and reflection. \nAt the emotional turning point of the experience\, Nova Pangea will begin a  live performance of “Imagine” by John Lennon\, a globally recognized anthem of peace. During the performance\, the lighting will transition from monochromatic to  full white light\, revealing the true colors of the space\, the participants\, and each individual’s crane. This moment of revelation represents hope\, awareness\, and the restoration of shared humanity. \nA projected welcome message will introduce the symbolic meaning assigned to each crane color\, such as: \n\nBlue – Respect\nRed – Peace\nYellow – Empathy\nPink – Forgiveness\n\nFollowing the reveal\, Nova Pangea will continue with a curated musical set focused on peace\, empathy\, and collective responsibility. At the conclusion of the experience\, Uriel Vázquez and Carmina Murillo will invite participants to remember the value associated with their crane’s color and make a personal commitment to practice that value throughout the year. Participants will allow to take their cranes as a memento of inspiration for positive change. \nThe experience will repeat in cycles\, welcoming additional groups sequentially to ensure clarity\, accessibility\, and meaningful engagement for all attendees. \nSenbazuru Dallas  prioritizes free and equitable access to the arts\, participatory creation\, multicultural education\, and community healing. By integrating collaborative art making with immersive performance\, the project demonstrates how the arts can serve as a powerful tool for dialogue\, reflection\, and peace-building across diverse Dallas communities. \nEvent Details:\nDate: September 5\, 2026\nTime: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.\nVenue Location: Forest Green Branch Library | 9619 Greenville Ave\, Dallas TX 75243 (Map↗︎)\nOrganizer: Nova Pangea\nPhone: 214.457.5480\nEmail: uriel@novapangeamusic.com\nWebsite: NovaPangeaMusic.com \nThe project unfolds in two interconnected public events: Part 1 event information is available button below \n\nInformation about Part 1 Event
