SUMMARY:Japanese Cultural Treasures Sale
DESCRIPTION:Discover the Art Behind the KimonoFor centuries\, Japanese artisans have used Ise Katagami—intricately hand-cut paper stencils—to create the elegant patterns seen on traditional kimono. This hands-on workshop introduces participants to one of Japan’s nationally recognized traditional crafts through an engaging exploration of history\, design\, and creativity. Participants will examine authentic stencil materials\, learn how traditional stencil paper is made\, and discover how generations of artisans transformed simple paper into incredibly detailed works of art.
