[ONLINE EVENT] Japan-America Society of Oregon – Columbia Sportswear and the Global Pandemic: How One Company is Weathering the Storm

Wednesday, July 1, 2020 | 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Columbia Sportswear is a public company that is run by the family that founded it 81 years ago. With Tim Boyle (President and CEO) at the helm, Columbia has navigated many rough seas, eventually establishing itself as a family of brands with more than $3 billion in annual sales and a global leader in outdoor apparel, footwear, and lifestyle products. Columbia has a presence in over 90 countries and around 40% of revenue is generated abroad, representing a tremendous modern-day global success.

However, the current global pandemic has deeply challenged contemporary business planning; forcing leaders to re-set their thinking in all areas of operations. From supply chain to overseas investment and manufacturing, employee work-from-home procedures to customer behaviors and online retail operations, the world is changing. Columbia aims to keep pace.

Join us for 45 minutes with one of Oregon’s most influential businessmen with a presentation followed by Q&A session. After the presentation, stay around to network in our Zoom Breakout Rooms. Meet other attendees, chat, and bring your own beverage!
