We are excited to offer Japanese language class to our community! Registration for our first classes are now open.
Each class is limited to 10 students, don’t miss out!
PLEASE NOTE: JASDFW Japanese language classes are currently offered online via Zoom. To participate, you will need access to a device with internet, microphone, and camera.
*Both Adults Class and Kids Class are FULL.

Adults Class (Age 18 +)

Instructor
A native of Hiroshima, Natsuyo Taniyasu worked at the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth as a Cultural Exchange Facilitator as part of the GEN-J Grassroots Exchange Network-Japan program to strengthen networks between local communities and companies between 2018-2020. Before moving to Dallas, Natsuyo taught Japanese language at a public high school in Vietnam and currently working at Japan International Cooperation Center in Tokyo, Japan.
Kids Class (3rd – 7th Grade)
8 Weeks Course45 minutes/class
Maximum 10 students, designed for age 9-13
Contents will focus on introduction to Japanese culture, customs, and basic language

Instructor
A native of Tokyo, Maki Hasegawa joined the staff in 2018. She enjoys sharing her love of Japan through Japan-in-a-Suitcase presentations and at Japan-America Society events and community festivals throughout the year. She received her bachelor’s degree in Government from Monmouth College in Illinois and worked at various global companies in Tokyo before moving to the Dallas area.
