**2022 Mochitsuki New Year’s Celebration is CANCELLED due out of an abundance of caution for our young visitors and increased COVID infections. In place of the in-person program, we are working on a special video to be released on the same day of the event, Sunday, January 23, on the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth YouTube channel. Mochitsuki is back as in-person event!

Please join us for the return of Mochitsuki as an in-person program. Celebrate the Year of the Tiger with delicious mochi (rice cakes), music and dance performances, and authentic cultural activities. Learn about Japan’s rich New Year’s traditions and connect with the local Japanese community.
**The Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth will continue to monitor the COVID situation in the City of Richardson and Collin County. Additional information will be released on this website, as needed.
