Tea has been an essential part of life in Japan for centuries. More recently, a symbol of health and wellness, for its antioxidants & immune boosting properties. It has been the centerpiece of the Japanese Tea Ceremony, called cha-no-you (茶の湯) or chadō (茶道), the artfully choreographed ritual of preparing and serving finely ground green tea powder called “matcha.”.
